Death Of A Unicorn is an upcoming A24 film staring Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Richard E. Grant. The second trailer has just been released. The plot synopsis, according to IMDB, is as follows:

Father-Daughter duo Elliott and Ridley hit a unicorn with their car and bring it to the wilderness retreat of a mega-wealthy pharmaceutical CEO.

As the trailer opens, we see Elliot (Paul Rudd) and Ridley (Jenna Ortega) arriving at the nature reserve. Upon arrival they meet other characters who are staying at the retreat. Later that night, a strange sound is heard, which Poulter’s character dismisses as a moose.

In the next shot, a group of armed men stumble upon a unicorn in the dark forest, its horn glowing a warm yellow. The unicorn then becomes agitated and lashes out at the men, and the scene cuts away.

As the trailer continues, we learn through Ridley that unicorns are known to have healing powers. When many characters decide to exploit this power, a monstrous unicorn appears, presumably to exact vengeance.

Death Of A Unicorn will premiere in theaters on March 28th, and it will surely change the way that viewers look at the iconic fantasy creature.
