Sarah Paulson to Star in Amazon’s ‘Lost Girls’

Sarah Paulson is attached to star in Amazon Studios‘ serial killer drama Lost Girls, according the The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be documentary filmmaker Liz Garbus’ narrative feature debut. The director is most known for her doc What Happened, Miss Simone? about 1960s jazz singer Nina Simone.

The film is based off investigative reporter Robert Kolker’s non-fiction novel and has been adapted for the screen by Michael Werwie. The story follows a mother in Long Island, New York, who is searching for her missing daughter. She comes upon a shocking discovery in the woods when the bodies of four dead girls are uncovered.

Paulson is continuing to reap the rewards of her successful year in 2016. She recently won a Golden Globe and SAG award for her work on the miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. The actress is also continuing her work relationship with producer/show-runner Ryan Murphy on American Horror Story. The actress recently appeared at Sundance for the indie Rebel in the Rye and is one of the star-studded ensemble enlisted for Ocean’s Eight.
