On November 29th, Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to release first look set photos from his upcoming Netflix film The Adam Project. According to Screenrant, Reynolds posted two stills from the highly anticipated sci-fi, with the description, “Finished our first week on The Adam Project. In addition to taking these two photos, @netflix will be happy to know we also shot some of the film. Happy to be back in the sturdy arms of my friend, life coach and director, @ShawnLevyDirect”. Reynolds will star alongside actors Catherine Keener, Alex Mallari Jr, Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo.
The film will tell the story of a man, portrayed by Reynolds, who must travel back in time to find his 13-year-old self (Walker Scobell) in order to find his late father (Mark Ruffalo). The photos Reynolds shared included one photo showing him on set in the middle of a forest with Scobell and a second photo showing Reynolds and director Shawn Levy (Free Guy) behind the scenes with their face masks on due to Covid-19. There is little to know about the details of the film, but in the second photo, the blood on Reynolds’ shirt reveals that there might be some gore and fighting sequences. There is no official release date, but it is said to air on Netflix sometime at the end of 2021.
