Ryan Reynolds Set To Be Appointed Into The Order Of British Columbia

Ryan Reynolds is set to be appointed a high honor. Known for his work in countless comedic films and many other roles, Reynolds is going to be appointed into the Order of British Columbia, along with 13 others. They are just a few out of over 200 individuals submitted for consideration.

According to ComicBook.com, the British Columbian government stated that all 14 recipients hail from “all walks of life and from all parts of the province.”

It may prove a bit challenging for Reynolds to properly receive the honor, as his life is a generally busy one. Between the upcoming Deadpool 3 and traveling for his football team, he’s going to have to carve out time to receive the honor from the Order themselves at some point this fall.

Earlier this year as well, Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were granted the Freedom of Wrexham, after the duo stepped in to purchase the sporting club. Wrexham fell on hard times, and the duo saved them financially and is even now the focus of a TV show.

“As representative of the Crown in British Columbia and as chancellor of the Order of British Columbia, I am honoured to welcome these 14 members,” lieutenant governor of British Columbia, Janet Austin, had to say. “This honour is a mark of excellence, reflected in the service and achievements of these incredible British Columbians. Their accomplishments have left an indelible mark on their communities, and ensuing legacies will impact our province to the benefit of future generations. It is my great pleasure to share my congratulations to all new appointments to the order.”
