Rob Schneider has finished directing and starring in the indie family comedy Daddy Daughter Trip, a live-action/animation hybrid.
The family comedy depicts the tale of a second-grade girl (Miranda Scarlett Schneider) who fantasizes about a fun-filled spring break vacation that her family cannot afford. Despite her mother’s (Jackie Sandler, The Wrong Missy) better judgment and with just coins in their pockets, her dreamer father (Rob Schneider) chooses to take her on a spring break vacation nevertheless. After a sequence of mishaps, their trip is rescued when they encounter a couple of well-known travel bloggers (Monica Huarte and Miguel Ángel Muñoz).
Along with Sandler, Huarte, Muñoz, and Miranda Scarlett Schneider, the film also stars John Cleese (Monty Python and the Holy Grail), Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Elle King, and Gavin Joseph.
Rob Schneider said, “In my thirty plus year career, I’ve had the great pleasure of working with some of the best actors in the industry, but nothing comes close to sharing the screen with my incredibly sweet and talented eight year old daughter Miranda.”
Rob Schneider is currently starring alongside Kevin James and Taylor Lautner in Netflix’s Home Team, about the life of New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton.
He also recently appeared in Netflix’s The Wrong Missy and Hubie Halloween.
