Ridley Scott Offers Advice To ‘Alien: Romulus’ Star

Alien: Romulus’ release date is set for August 16th, and with that also comes new details from those who worked on the film.

One of the cast members for the new movie, David Jonsson, remarked to Rolling Stone UK about Scott’s comment, saying “yeah, he was just like, ‘Don’t be shi*t.’ Something along the lines of that!”

ComicBook.com, who reported on it as well, didn’t shy away from pointing out that Scott has never been afraid to be very upfront and to the point, just as his comment reflects.

Jonsson will appear in Romulus alongside Isabela Merced, Cailee Spaeny, and Archie Renaux.

Alien: Romulus is the next installment in the Alien franchise, which started in 1979. The first film, Alien, directed by Ridley Scott and written by Dan O’Bannon.

Upon its release, it became an instant horror genre staple, spawning a whole franchise.

Since the first film, Scott has stayed involved with the franchise, including directing the two sequels Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. He’s also involved with Romulus as a producer and has played an active hand in it.

Scott has a directorial feature coming later this year in the form of Gladiator II, the anticipated sequel to Scott’s 2000 film, Gladiator.
