With the announcement of Knives Out 3, titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, more and more information on the film has been coming in the wake. One new look at the film, coming right from Rian Johnson, shows the main characters new look.
Director Johnson posted to X to commemorate the commencement of shooting for Wake Up Dead Man and included an image of the series lead, Daniel Craig.
Craig plays Benoit Blanc, an eccentric detective whose out-of-the-box thinking has earned him a reputation for solving a multitude of murders.
Blanc, who serves as the connective tissue across the Knives Out series, usually sports a shorter haircut, the image posted to X shows him in an unusual look with longer hair this time around.
Johnson will be writing and directing Wake Up Dead Man, akin to how he works on a majority of his films. He wrote and directed the first two Knives Out films, as well as Star Wars: Episode VIII- The Last Jedi, Brick, and Looper.
Variety pointed out that while the second Knives Out got a short run in theaters before hitting Netflix, there is no confirmation if Wake Up Dead Man will see a similar distribution.
Johnson’s post will be linked below. Wake Up Dead Man will come to Netflix in 2025.
