According to Deadline, Warner Brother’s is in talks about moving forward with their remake for Little Shop of Horrors. It will have Greg Berlanti directing and Matthew Robinson writing the script. This one will also be a musical, and will be based on the one that Frank Oz directed.
The original Little Shop of Horrors was a musical comedy that starred Rick Moranis and centered on a florist who finds success and romance through the help of a man-eating plant in his shop.
Berlanti last directed the 2010 comedy Life as We Know It. He also has a production company with Warner Brothers titled Berlanti Productions. He has been busy working on six TV series which include Supergirl, Blindspot, The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and the upcoming Riverdale.
Robinson, the screen writer for Little Shop, has written and co-directed with Ricky Gervais on The Invention of Lying, and In Search of Humans, with Fox Chernin.
