Their time will always be up once again. The new installment in the Final Destination series, dubbed Final Destination: Bloodlines, has just gotten its release date. What will be the sixth film in the iconic horror series is now set for a release in May of 2025. Variety was one of the sources to initially cover the news of the release.
The Final Destination series has been a staple of horror since the release of the first film in 2000. Each film in the series follows the general premise of a group of characters surviving a near-death experience, only for death itself to begin stalking them, attempting to pick them all off one by one.
Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky are directing the film, with a script penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor.
Collider also noted that Bloody Disgusting was told a key plot detail by Jeffrey Reddick, one of the creative minds behind the series as a whole.
Tony Todd appeared in four of the five Final Destination films so far, and is slated to have a role in the new film as well. It was revealed to Bloody Disgusting by Reddick that the film is going to be about Todd’s character specifically, who only had a small supporting role in past installments.
