Randall Park Joins Cast of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’

Randall Park (ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat) has been announced to play S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Woo in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly in the title roles. The sequel’s cast also includes Hannah John-Kamen (Black Mirror) in an as-yet unspecified role, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michael Peña as Luis. The news was first reported by The Tracking Board.

Peyton Reed returns to helm the sequel from script by Rudd and Gabriel Ferrari. The plot is being kept under wraps. Marvel’s Kevin Feige is producing. 2015’s Ant-Man grossed more than $500 million worldwide.

Park stars on ABC’s Fresh Off the Boat and has a recurring role in HBO’s Veep. He also was in a 2014 comedy with Rudd entitled They Came Together. He recently appeared in Snatched and The House, and upcoming he will be seen in The Disaster Artist with James Franco.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
