Queen Latifah to star in ‘Hope’s Wish’

Fresh off of the comedy sleeper Girls Trip, Queen Latifah is set to star in Hope’s Wish, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The script is based on the real-life story of a twelve-year-old girl. Though she finds out she was facing a severely dangerous (and maybe deadly disease), the child decides to work to help other kids with similar diagnoses.

Latifah will play Toni Dubois, a higher-up at the well-known Make A Wish Foundation. Dubois will be a key ally for the young girl, supporting her in gaining the funds to make her goal a reality.

Laurie Collyer (Sherrybaby) will direct, working with producers such Broderick Johnson, Val Hill, Yale Badik, Steven P. Wegner, and Andrew Kosovewill to bring the film to theaters.

As of now, there is no specified release date for the Warner Bros. movie, Hope’s Wish.
