Ukraine-born model and actress Olga Kurylenko revealed that she has been tested positive for coronavirus. On Sunday, she took to Instagram to announce the news to her followers.
Posting a picture of a view outside of her window, she wrote, “Locked up at home after having tested positive for Coronavirus. I’ve actually been ill for almost a week now. Fever and fatigue are my main symptoms. Take care of yourself and do take this seriously!”
Kurylenko is best known for her starring performance in the 2008 James Bond film Quantum of Solace as Camille Montes, opposite Daniel Craig. She also starred opposite Tom Cruise in the 2013 sci-fi film Oblivion. Other notable credits include her role in Armando Iannucci’s historical satire The Death of Stalin and Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote with Adam Driver. Recently, she wrapped up production for the thriller The Bay of Silence, co-starring Claes Bang (The Square) and Brian Cox (Succession).
The coronavirus pandemic has not spared Hollywood figures. Besides Kurylenko, Tom Hanks and spouse Rita Wilson are among the most internationally acclaimed celebrities who have recently tested positive for the virus. Like Kurylenko, Hanks has also taken to Instagram to break the news. Universal Music chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge was hospitalized for treatment of the virus this weekend. And many more entertainment figures have been quarantining themselves, including director Baz Luhrmann, who reportedly met with Tom Hanks a day before the actor was diagnosed and shut down production on his new biopic film Elvis.
