Production Begins On Disney’s ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’

Production began on Disney’s upcoming movie, Peter Pan & Wendy. Collider reports that the movie is being filmed in the Canadian city Vancouver, which is city that is often used for filming movies. The movie is based on the 1911 novel Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie. According to Movie Web the movie will be a remake of the 1953 Disney animated movie.

The movie will star Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, and Wendy will be played by Ever Anderson. The movie’s villain Captain Hook is going to be played by Jude Law, and Hook’s sidekick Mr. Smee is being played by comedian Jim Gaffigan. Actress Yara Shahidi has been cast as Tinkerbell. Wendy’s parents Mr. Darling and Mrs. Darling are being played by Alan Tudyk and Molly Parker respectively. Joshua Pickering and Jacobi Jupe will be playing John and Simon. The character Tiger Lily is going to be played by Alyssa Wapanatâhk, who is a Native American actress.

The movie’s script was written by Toby Halbrook and David Lowery. The movie is also being directed by David Lowery, who previously directed the recent remake of Pete’s Dragon.

Disney says that Peter and Wendy will be released on the Disney + streaming service in 2022.
