Captain America seems to have a bit more fight left in him according to box office predictions, ScreenRant reports.
Captain America: Brave New World is forecasted to have a domestic opening gross of between $81 and $107 million and an overall domestic gross between $195 and 280 million.
While not reaching the full heights of the Captain America series in terms of first-week revenue, Brave New World would still find a spot comfortably in the middle, with The First Avenger grossing $65 million, The Winter Soldier with $95 million, and Civil War leading the way with a staggering $179 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
These projections, so far, seem to ease some initial fears about the film, like Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson taking the mantle from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, and other recent entries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe underperforming, such as The Marvels, which opened with a domestic gross of $46 Million.
What’s more, Captain America: Brave New World is expected to outperform its direct competition at the box office, Paddington In Peru, which is predicted to earn between $16-25 million, on opening weekend.
Starring Mackie, Harrison Ford, and Tim Blake Nelson, Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, for Valentine’s Day Weekend.
