The South by Southwest Film Festival, also known as SXSW, is in full swing with a flurry of different films being shown at the festival. One of these films, Perfect, is set to premiere, and has also released its first trailer to the public. Check it out:
Perfect follows the story of a young man who transports himself to a beautiful, futuristic home in the middle of the forest where he is stimulated by advertisements that tell of illusions of grandeur with the use of implants. Initially, the young man uses these implants and receives a sense of freedom and clarity from his dark visions, but he begins to lose himself in the process. He begins to learn the cost of chasing or attempting to attain perfection.
The fairly young cast stars a solid amount of promising faces including Garrett Wareing, Courtney Eaton, Tao Okamoto, Maurice Compte, and Abbie Cornish. The film is being directed by Eddie Alcazar with a script by him and Ted Kupper. Steven Soderbergh and EDM artist Flying Lotus are executive producing. The film is set to release on March 11th during the festival, but no theatrical release has been announced.
