Paul Walter Hauser Cast In Upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ Movie

Up-and-coming actor Paul Walter Hauser has been cast in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. With this, Hauser is now stacked with potentially groundbreaking roles with three announced castings.

Hauser’s role and the film’s plot are currently under wraps, though the main cast has been announced earlier this year. It includes Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm). Additionally, Julia Garner has been brought on board to play a version of the Silver Surfer called Shalla-Bal.

The Fantastic Four is a team of superheroes originally astronauts exposed to cosmic rays during a special mission. Due to this radiation, they gained incredible powers that they use to save the world from many threats, especially their arch nemesis Doctor Doom. Though it’s unknown which plot details will remain the same in this adaptation, the great care the studio has taken to cast the team shows their dedication to properly portraying this famous found family.

Wandavision director Matt Shakman will lead this project with a screenplay by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. It will begin production this summer with a planned release date of July 25, 2025.

Hauser’s career has taken a noticeable upturn lately with casting in the upcoming Naked Gun reboot in an unknown role and the Chris Farley biopic as the iconic SNL actor. He is making a name for himself as Embarrassment in Inside Out 2 and the SXSW feature Americana. Additionally, his awards for his portrayal of serial killer Larry Hall in the crime drama Black Bird have given him incredible prestige that should translate well for whoever he will play in Fantastic Four.
