Past Experiences Of Sexual Misconduct Discussed By Abigail Breslin

An actress has recently spoken up about her own experiences regarding sexual misconduct, and the actions that were taken against her. Abigail Breslin went in-depth about her own struggles with inappropriate behavior on set, and the retaliation she faced for reporting it.

Breslin has appeared in a slew of different movies over her career. Some of her most well-known roles include Zombieland and its sequel, Rango, Signs, Little Miss Sunshine, and many others.

Breslin went into detail about her struggles in a post on Instagram, stating all that she had to deal with after she had a run in with, as she called it, “unprofessional behavior.”

Following the incident, Breslin said that she took well-measured steps when deciding what to do next, including reporting it in a confidential way. Later, however, a lawsuit was brought against Breslin by a past employer.

“Hence, why l’ve been working for 25 years. Instead of being believed and protected, a suit was filed against me for having the audacity to speak up. I was publicly shamed and defamed in the process,” she said in her post.

MovieWeb makes note of the fact that Breslin’s post comes soon after headlines have come out regarding alleged misconduct between It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. MovieWeb also noted that Breslin alluded to the legal conflict within her own post.

Breslin’s post will be linked below.
