Right now the world seems to have a rather large abundance of streaming services. Paramount announced that their plans to rebrand the streaming service CBS All Access as something new called Paramount Plus, which will launch this coming March.
According to the Verge, Paramount Plus will offer users access to a variety of shows ranging from Spongebob Squarepants to Criminal Minds. They also will feature spin-off and reboot shows based on old movies like The Italian Job, Flashdance, and Fatal Attraction and shows like Frasier, The Daily Show, and The Fairly OddParents.
Deadline also reports that the upcoming movies A Quiet Place 2 and Mission: Impossible 7 will both debut on Paramount Plus. The plan is for the two movies to be released directly into movie theaters first, but after the movies spend 45 day in the theaters they will then be released on the Paramount Plus streaming service. It is currently unknown if Paramount will be releasing any other movies in this way.
John Krasinski directs and stars in A Quiet Place Part 2, and Mission: Impossible 7 is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and stars Tom Cruise.
A Quiet Place Part 2 is set to release in theaters on September 17, and the theatrical release date for Mission: Impossible 7 is on November 19.
