During the Super Bowl, Paramount dropped a TV Spot for the upcoming Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. Much of what we see in the spot is footage seen in the film’s first trailer, which was released back in November. However, brief snippets of new footage can still be seen.  The most notable bit of new footage seen in this TV spot is a look at Pom Klementieff’s Paris. Paris seemingly died in the previous film from a gunshot wound after delivering pivotal information to Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt. But from what we can see here, Paris appeared to survive and is going to reappear in The Final Reckoning.  In these screenshots, Paris seems to be breaking in or out of a location, possibly breaking out of prison reminiscent of Ethan Hunt’s prison breakout in the opening of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

We also see a new look at Tom Cruise’s big Biplane stunt that’s been one of Final Reckoning’s biggest talking points. The most notable part of this look is that they appear to be in a different aspect ratio than the rest of the spot. Final Reckoning is being advertised, as “Filmed with Imax Cameras”. Typically, movies filmed with Imax cameras tend to feature an expanded aspect ratio when watched in an IMAX theater. This expanded ratio is precisely what we see here, hinting that the biplane stunt will be one of Final Reckoning’s IMAX scenes.

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning will be released exclusively in theaters on May 23.
