Paramount Announces Yet Another ‘Power Rangers’ Reboot

Guess what world? the Power Rangers are back….again! Go go Power…. reboot?

That’s right: Paramount has just announced their plans to make another movie based on the iconic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise. According to Movieweb, this new film will have absolutely nothing to do with the recent Power Rangers reboot that came out in 2017, instead being another reboot that follows its own unique story.

Supposedly, this new Power Rangers movie would be set during the 1990’s, which is of course the decade where the franchise began in America and was at the height of its cheesy popularity. The story will follow a bunch of modern teenagers (with attitude) who find themselves sent back in time. The teens then must work together to escape the era of the Grunge bands and Beanie Babies and return to their own time period.

As of right now, not much is known about this upcoming project except that Jonathan Entwistle, creator of the Netflix original series, The End of the F**cking World, is currently in talks to direct the movie. The Hollywood Reporter also claims that the movie’s script is being written by Patrick Burleigh, who wrote Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway.

Still, go go Power Rangers!
