A most confusing paradox arises when a mother does not even know who the father was for her two children. Both Owen Wilson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Midnight in Paris) and Ed Helms (The Hangover, We’re The Millers) struggle with never knowing who their father was until their mother tells them she does not actually know. Their only choice is to meet and learn more about the men that their mother has slept with, which include five different people across the world, as seen in the new trailer for Father Figures:
Wilson and Helms must meet their possible father figures who are played by former NFL star Terry Bradshaw (who plays himself in the film), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Spiderman), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Mission Impossible), and Christopher Walken (Catch Me If You Can, The Deer Hunter). Other supporting actors and actresses include Glenn Close (The Simpsons, Fatal Attraction), Harry Shearer (The Simpsons Movie, This is Spinal Tap), and comedian Katt Williams.
The film will feature the directorial debut for skilled cinematographer Lawrence Sher, who is known for his work on The Hangover films and various other comedies. The film will release in theaters on December 22, 2017.
