Samuel L. Jackson on a plane – check. Said plane being Air Force One – check. Snakes being on said plane – probably not, but your never know. The official US trailer for Norway’s Big Game has been released online, and despite the lack of the snakes, the actioner looks to have lots of thrills up its sleeves.
Jackson (Avengers: Age of Ultron) stars as “The President”, whose plane is shot down over Norway. While he manages to deploy in an escape pod, he ends up in the wilderness, trailed by terrorists. A young boy partaking in a coming of age ritual, Oksari (Onni Tommila) comes upon the President and the two team up to escape the hunters while looking for the Special Forces team who have been sent to their rescue.
Felicity Huffman (TV’s Desperate Housewives) plays the head of the CIA, with Victor Garber (Argo) as Vice President.
The English language debut of Finnish writer-director Jalamari Helander, premiered at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival. Relativity Studios has slated a June 26 US premiere in select theaters and on Digital HD and On Demand.
