‘No Time To Die’ To Release Five Days Earlier Than Expected In November

Avid fans of the James Bond franchise can rejoice: the highly anticipated No Time To Die will hit theaters five days earlier than expected.

Originally, No Time To Die was supposed to release on April 10 during the Easter weekend. However, it was announced back in March that the 25th Bond movie has been postponed to November 25, 2020, one of the earliest films to move its date due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the film has been rescheduled to November 20, 2020 for U.S. theaters. The release date for U.K theaters — November 12 — has not been changed.

This MGM sequel will now go head to head at the box office with Pixar’s Soul on the weekend right before Thanksgiving, which is typically a competitive time frame. Soul‘s release date was also moved from June 19 to Nov. 20 earlier this year.

The James Bond Twitter account announced the news on Saturday morning, captioning “The return of old friends in NO TIME TO DIE. In cinemas 12th November UK, 20th November U.S.

No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright and Christoph Waltz.

This film will be Craig’s last performance as James Bond. At the end of Spectre, Bond has left active service, but his retirement is short-lived when Felix Leiter (Wright), an old friend from the CIA, turns up, asking Bond to help locate a missing scientist. Bond gets entangled on the ultimate, deadly mission in searching for the mysterious villain (Malek) armed with dangerous new technology.
