Nicolas Cage Thriller ‘Willy’s Wonderland’ Sells To Major International Territories

Nicolas Cage continues to be a busy man, especially in the horror community, with his newest film acquiring international distribution at the Cannes Virtual Market. Cage’s new thriller, tentatively titled as Willy’s Wonderland, has been purchased for distribution in the U.K., Canada, Australia, Italy, Germany and Latin America, just to name a few.

The film, directed by Kevin Lewis, will follow follows Cage as a janitor, who is forced to clean a family entertainment center in exchange for having his car serviced after it breaks down. He, along with some helpful locals, soon find themselves in a fight for survival when they are trapped inside and forced to come face to face with the center’s animatronic stars who have turned evil and murderous.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s style movie clearly made an impression with industry professionals and should secure a release date soon. The insane plot works well with Nicolas Cage’s acting style and has a cast that is rounded out by Emily Tosta, Beth Grant, Ric Reitz, and Chris Warner. The picture was penned by G.O. Parsons.

Cage found critical acclaim not too long ago, with the horror thriller Mandy, an absolutely insane movie with psychedelic visuals and a monstrous cult at the center. Cage has clearly realized a pattern and returns to the realm of crazy in Willy’s Wonderland, a move that will be a welcome sight for horror and cage fans everywhere.
