Some new trailers for the upcoming kids movie The War With Grandpa were just released earlier this week. The plot of The War With Grandpa centers around a little boy named Peter, played by Oakes Fegley, who is forced to give up his rather bedroom and move into the attic so that his family can accommodate Peter’s grandfather, who is played by Robert De Niro. Peter decides to terrorize his grandfather with various pranks in hopes that his grandfather will move out. However Grandpa soon enlists the aid of his own friends to prank Peter back.
The two new trailers for The War With Grandpa reveal two scenes from the movie. The first trailer shows the scene in which Peter’s parents played by Rob Riggle and Uma Thurman move Peter out of his rather spacious room, and shows Peter’s sisters sharing room. The second trailer shows one of Peter’s Home Alone style pranks. Peter replaces his grandfather’s shaving cream with fast drying adhesive foam.
The War With Grandpa was directed by Tim Hill, who directed Alvin and the Chipmunks, and is based on a book written by Robert Kimmel Smith. The movie will apparently be released only in theaters on October 9th.
