New Trailer For ‘The Order’ Pits Jude Law Against Nicholas Hoult In Domestic Terrorist Crime Thriller

The Order Trailer

The trailer for The Order (2024), a crime thriller directed by Australian filmmaker Justin Kurzel (Nitram), was released Thursday, offering a first look at the showdown between Jude Law (Firebrand) and Nicholas Hoult (The Menu).

Filmed in Alberta, Canada, The Order follows FBI agent Terry Husk (Jude Law) who is investigating a string of bank robberies and armored car heists in Washington, USA. As Husk digs deeper, he uncovers that the crimes are being orchestrated by Bob Mathews (Hoult), the leader of a white supremacist group using the stolen funds to fuel domestic terror plots. The film builds toward a violent confrontation between law enforcement and Mathews’ group, known as The Order.

Based on Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt’s book The Silent Brotherhood (1989), the film is set for release on December 6 and had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year. The screenplay was penned by Zach Baylin (King Richard), and the film is produced by Kurzel and Law, as well as Bryan Haas (Adult Ed.) and AGC Studios (Moonfall).

Vertical (Poolman) acquired U.S. distribution rights for The Order in May. With a star-studded cast and a true story at its core, The Order is set to be a gripping addition to the crime thriller genre when it hits theaters this December.
