New Trailer For Ted Bundy Biopic ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’

Zac Efron is best known for his breakout role in the Disney hit High School Musical but he was able to showcase more of his talent in the comedy Neighbors and most recently got musical again when he starred in The Greatest Showman. But now it seems that Efron is stretching his talents even more with the release of the trailer for the new biopic about Ted Bundy, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

The film sees Efron portraying the infamous serial killer through the eyes of his girlfriend Liz Kendall, portrayed by Lily Collins. The trailer focuses on Kendall and Bundy’s relationship with the ever growing series of murders and the continuous coverage on Bundy putting pressure on their relationship, despite his confident demeanor. The trailer carries a punk rock attitude fitting the extreme confidence that Bundy carried throughout the court cases and accusations.

The film’s director, Joe Berlinger has an enormous amount of experience in telling disturbing real life murder stories as he has directed countless TV murder series. He directed Killing Richard Glossip, Cold Blooded: The Clutter Family Murders, Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and was even nominated for an Oscar for the documentary Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory. This will be screenwriter Michael Werwie’s first major film credit.

The movie is being shown at Sundance Film Festival today with a wide release date yet to be announced.

Keidan Chavez: I am an undergraduate attending Whittier College majoring in screen writing and journalism. I love to watch movies, play Red Dead Redemption 2 and read whenever I get the chance. I will watch anything related to Wright, Tarantino, The Coen Brothers or Nolan. I will also play anything made by Naughty Dog or Rockstar Games. I love being able to experience great stories, especially when I am able to share that experience with others. I also love learning about movies and sharing that knowledge to those that are just as passionate.
