The next will story of summer love is coming to theaters this July. It stars buzzworthy, up-and-coming young actor Timothée Chalamet. Elijah Bynum helms the film, and it marks his directorial debut. Located in Cape Cod, the story centers around a young main lead Daniel (Chalamet), who’s about to get more than he bargained for. He’s a very shy young man new to the area, and it looks like he will end up establishing a name for himself.
He soon gets involved selling pot, his partner-in-crime being played by Alex Roe. However, things get complicated, as he may just be in love with her sister, played by Maika Monroe. Needless to say, this will lead to plenty of tension for the three of them. Additionally, as an interesting fact, both actresses have worked together before, performing in The 5th Wave.
Hot Summer Nights will hit theaters on July 27th. The A24 film will be readily available on DirecTv the next day on July 28th. Watch the trailer below.
