Indiewire has reported on a new trailer for the upcoming action-comedy Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt.
The film focuses on Pitt’s character who is a criminal by the codename of Ladybug who desires to be a better person. Ladybug says that he is “not that guy” anymore and resolves himself to make sure that no one gets killed during his next mission. This character trait will add to the conflict of the film as Ladybug will attempt to not inflict lethal damage on his adversaries.
Ladybug’s mission is to steal a briefcase while on a speeding bullet train filled with other assassins who also want to get their hands on the briefcase. The trailer makes it clear that there will be comedy elements in the film, as the first scene shown is a fight sequence that takes place in the “quiet car” of the train. Ladybug and his adversary Lemon, played by Brian Tyree Henry, fight one another while attempting to keep quiet, and are even shushed by other passengers.
Pitt will appear in the film alongside Sandra Bullock, who is known for the role of Leigh Anne Tuohy in The Blind Side, Joey King, who is known for the role of Elle Evens in The Kissing Booth and its sequels, and Andrew Koji, known for the role of Storm Shadow in Snake Eyes.
The film is directed by David Leitch, who directed the action thriller film Atomic Blonde.
Bullet train will release on July 15th, 2022. Check out the new trailer here:
