Pixar has released a new teaser for its highly anticipated feature Elio. This marks the first full trailer for the film ahead of its release.
Elio follows the adventure of a young boy fascinated by all things outer space. When he unexpectedly finds himself among the stars, he begins to live out his dreams while navigating his way home with the help of new alien friends.
Yonas Kibreab voices the titular character, Elio. Kibreab’s previous credits include roles in television series such as Sweet Tooth, Into the Dark and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The cast also features Zoe Saldana, Brad Garrett, Jameela Jamil and Shirley Henderson.
The trailer depicts young Elio attempting to make contact with extraterrestrials using household materials. His efforts ultimately succeed when he is abducted by the aliens he sought, who introduce him to their way of life.
Earlier this year, Pixar scored a massive success with Inside Out 2. The film opened to $154 million and went on to become the highest-grossing film of 2024, earning $1.6 billion worldwide.
