On December 12th, the Warner Brothers Kids YouTube account released a teaser trailer for The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie. This is the first ever fully animated, feature length Looney Tunes film. It is set to be released in theaters on February 28th. Both Daffy Duck and Porky Pig will be voiced by Eric Bauza, and the film will be directed by Peter Browngardt.
The official description on the YouTube video reads:
“It’s bigger! It’s bolder! It’s LOONIER! And it’s coming to the big screen like never before… The FIRST fully-animated feature-length #LooneyTunesMovie in history–The Day the Earth Blew Up–arrives exclusively in theaters this February 28th!”
Based on the trailer, the movie seems to place a heavy focus on Daffy Duck and Porky Pig as its main characters. However, the description also lists some characters that will likely appear in the film: “Bugs and Daffy, Tweety and Sylvester, and Coyote and Road Runner.”
In the trailer, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig are suited up in space suits, presumably to save the world. Because of this, it is possible that some of the movie’s runtime will take place in space. They are likely fighting aliens with the goal of saving the world.
