Following the release of the first teaser in December, a second teaser for Obsession has been released. This new teaser offers a clearer glimpse of the film’s plot, which follows a young man who makes a wish on a supernatural novelty toy called the “One Wish Willow”. The wish is for his crush to fall madly in love with him, only for it go wrong and his crush to grow increasingly more obsessed with him. “Be careful who you wish for,” reads the film’s tagline, taken from the teaser’s description.

Obsession is the feature-length debut for writer/director Curry Barker, who first made a name for himself by releasing horror short films on YouTube. The film stars Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, and Megan Lawless. It received strong, positive reviews from critics and audiences at its premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film will be distributed by Focus Features, their most recent horror release following 2024’s Nosferatu. In addition, the film will also be distributed by Blumhouse, in a rare collaboration between the two studios.

Obsession will be releasing in theaters in the U.S on May 15th. The new teaser can be viewed below:
