The last few months have seen the current production on the latest Bond film, Sam Mendes’ Spectre, tease fans with more casting additions, new Bond girls, and plenty of behind-the-scenes footage. Now comes the latest promotional bait for 007 enthusiasts with the first official teaser poster for the film.
The first poster is simple and minimalist, showing star Daniel Craig (Skyfall) looking calm but alert with his gun removed from his shoulder holster and firmly gripped in his right hand. Bond aficionados will appreciate the reference to a previous 007 agent in Roger Moore’s Live and Let Die, however, where the actor donned a similar get-up all the way down to the mahogany shoulder piece. The poster also reveals that the film’s November 6th, 2015 release date will include screening in IMAX theaters.
Spectre will be the twenty-fourth Bond film of the franchise and Daniel Craig’s fourth appearance as the famed agent. It will also be Sam Mendes’ (American Beauty) second Bond film, following the successful Skyfall. Along with Craig and Mendes, Spectre will also see the return of Ralph Fiennes (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Ben Whishaw (Paddington), Naomi Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), and Rory Kinnear (The Imitation Game), with new additions Christoph Waltz (Big Eyes), Monica Bellucci (Irreversible), Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Color), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Stephanie Sigman (Pioneer), and Andrew Scott (TV’s Sherlock) joining the mix.
