New promotional materials have been released for The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie including both an official poster and full trailer. The trailer, which is exactly 1 minute long, shows an asteroid-like object crashing into the earth. The scientist who witnesses the event recruits the help of iconic characters Daffy Duck and Porky Pig. “Looks like it’s up to us to save the Earth,” he says to them. From there we witness some quick scene flashes of the different shenanigans that take place, including a lot of fire and explosions.
The trailer indicates a March 14th release for the much-anticipated film. The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie will be the first fully animated feature-length Looney Tunes film in history.
In addition to the trailer, an official poster was also released, along with some stills from the movie. The main poster shows Porky Pig and Daffy Duck standing on top of a small house, holding each other for comfort while underneath a UFO. In the background, we see a cityscape, and over top of the image, we see the title, as well as the release date.
Other promotional stills include Daffy Duck next to a possible alien, covered in a bubblegum-like substance,
Daffy and Porky looking up through a giant corroded hole in the roof,
Daffy and Porky screaming and crying,
As well as Daffy and Porky screaming as they fall.
These images do a great job of encapsulating the chaos that likely makes up the movie. The official trailer, posted on the WB Kids YouTube channel and the official mxdwnvideo channel, can be seen below.
