Exciting news on the film Prey seems to be a promising fresh start to the Predator franchise. The film is taking a turn into uncharted territory for the franchise, diving into the expanded universe of the Predator world. Canonically, the films have hinted that the predator creatures have been on earth from the beginning of humanity. The director, Dan Trachtenberg of 10 Cloverfield Lane, has stated that the filmmakers are trying to make an respectful adaptation of the tribe: “The filmmakers were committed to creating a film that provides an accurate portrayal of the Comanche and brings a level of authenticity that rings true to its Indigenous peoples”
