New Indie Film ‘New England Toys’ Has It’s Star-Studded Cast Announced

Willa Fitzgerald in 2019's 'The Goldfinch'

Indie writer/director Blaise Beyhan has gathered an impressive collection for his sophomore feature, New England Toys, lining up a mix of high tiers from both film and television. Each has great comedy talent for his period thriller.

The two main leads of the cast, for which the whole cast was revealed by Deadline, are Willa Fitzgerald (Strange Darling) and Ruby Cruz (The Threesome). While their character’s details remain unknown, the pairing of these two makes for a very interesting vehicle for two rising stars.

Further looking into the cast, we see a very strong supporting lineup that includes Paul Sparks (The Lowdown), Jason Schwartzman (Mountainhead), Jim Gaffigan (Linoleum), and Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight). There’s also Paul Fitzgerald (The Residence), Asa Germann (Scream 7), William Sadler (Our Cartoon President), Dylan Baker (Happiness), and Becky Ann Baker (Ted Lasso). This collection of actors/actresses are making most believe that the film is going to be both tense and electric.

While plot specifics are still under wraps, some sources are confirming that the film will be a thriller period piece. The production is currently underway in Buffalo, New York, with Beyhan producing alongside Robby Gutmann. Fitzgerald is also serving as an executive producer on the project.

The release date has not yet been announced, but with filming already underway and a high-profile cast attached, New England Toys is shaping up to be one of the more closely watched indie thrillers.
