Disney and Pixar have released a new trailer for their upcoming animated superhero sequel Incredibles 2. Written and directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Iron Giant, Tomorrowland), the new film focuses on Bob Parr / Mr. Incredible (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) and his newfound role as stay-at-home dad as Helen Parr / Elastigirl (voiced by Holly Hunter) is sent off on an important superhero mission.
The new movie sees the return of Lucius Best / Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) and also finds newcomers Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Sofia Bush, Jonathan Banks, and Isabella Rossellini joining an already-talented voice cast.
The Incredibles came out in 2004 (feeling old yet?) and remains one of Disney Pixar’s most popular films. It grossed over $631 million worldwide on a $92 million budget, led to a successful toy lineup, and remains relevant on streaming services and home media today. Why it’s taken 14 years for Disney to milk this potent cash-cow is anyone’s guess, but with the talented Bird at the helm we seem to be in good hands. Maybe he was just waiting for the right story and the right time to tell it.

Incredibles 2 hits theaters on June 15th.
