So, Killers has a new trailer. No, not the 2010 comedy film starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. No, not the classic 1946 noir based on an Ernest Hemingway short story, starring Burt Lancaster and Ava Gardner. This Killers is the Killers we reported on a couple weeks ago. It’s the Killers made by an Indonesian and Japanese collaboration, starring the Japanese Kazuki Kitamura (Galileo, Space Battleship Yamato) and the Indonesian Oka Antara (V/H/S/2). The Killers about two serial murderers from different parts of the world engaged in a cat and mouse game that leaves more than a few bodies in its wake. The Killers that recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Warning: While Killers’ first trailer was somewhat restrained in terms of violence, this new one, coming straight from twitchfilms…is the exact opposite. If you watch this trailer, you will see throats slit, heads bashed in, and something truly unnerving done with a baseball bat.
One last thing to note: the film’s stars, Antara and Kitamura are both appearing in The Raid 2: Berandal, another hotly anticipated Indonesian film we’ve been covering for a while that had its premiere at Sundance.
