Today saw the release of a new trailer for Foxcatcher, a movie we’ve been following since its first teaser hit the web well over year ago. Ever since its debut at the Cannes Film Festival this past May, critics have been raving about the film and specifically about Steve Carrell’s performance. Carrell, known up to this point mostly for his goofy comedic roles in movies like The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Date Night, as well as his star-making role on the sitcom The Office, plays an entirely different type of role in Foxcatcher. He stars as the ultra-wealthy John du Pont, who sponsors an Olympic-hopeful wrestler (Channing Tatum) and his brother/trainer (Mark Ruffalo), with results that turn dark and ugly. Based on true story, the film was recently chosen to close this year’s AFI Fest, and will be released into theaters on November 14th.
