New Film ‘The Prince’ Picks Up Director Cameron Van Hoy

The upcoming film The Prince has gained a director. Cameron Van Hoy, who previously helmed 2021’s Flinch, is set to take up the project

Led by Scott Haze, the story follows an addict who has to recognize his troubles and learn how to shake them if he wants to turn his life around.

Alongside Haze are Nicolas Cage, J.K. Simmons, Andy Garcia, and Giancarlo Esposito with a screenplay by David Mamet.

Upon talking to Andrew Klavan, Mamet confirmed that the team behind The Prince also worked on Sound Of Freedom. When initially pitched the idea, Mamet said he was told they planned to make a film about Hunter Biden. Biden has grappled with substance abuse in the past, similar to how the story the main lead in The Prince will follow.

Deadline, who also reported on the film, stated that their sources did report that the film is based on Biden. Despite that, no concrete confirmation has been given.

Deadline also notes that the film gaining a director comes just days after Biden was charged with, and found guilty, of multiple felonies.

However, other sources give conflicting accounts, specifically those surrounding the crew. They went to great lengths to stress it is a complete work of fiction and not based on Hunter Biden.
