Fans will have the opportunity to see plenty of Red Hulk in February 2024. He will make his much-anticipated debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America: Brave New World. For the first time, audiences will see General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross transform into an angry villain. Ross will be played in the film by Harrison Ford, who will assume the titular role following the death of the famous actor William Hurt. Red Hulk also will headline his comic series, which will be published at the same time as this latest installment in the Captain America franchise.
The new Red Hulk Marvel comic series is part of the “One World Under Doom” publishing initiative. It is the creation of writer Benjamin Percy and artist Geoff Shaw, who successfully collaborated on Wolverine: The Sabretooth War. The storyline finds Ross imprisoned in Doom and exploited for his military expertise by the Sorcerer Supreme, a new Marvel character. To escape, Ross must call on the power and fury of his alter ego to destroy the kingdom.
The Red Hulk will be introduced later this month by Percy and Shaw in Incredible Hulk #19. This milestone 800th issue will be a collector’s item for fans of the series.
