At this year’s Game Awards, meant to honor and celebrate the best games released in 2025, a new clip was released for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The clip consists of what is presumably the film’s introduction of Bowser Junior, voiced by Benny Safdie. The beginning of the clip features footage from the film’s first teaser trailer, released last month. It then extends to footage not yet seen, in which Luigi, voiced by Charlie Day, attempts to greet Bowser Jr. before being attacked by him. The clip then continues into a brief action scene involving Bowser Jr. attacking Mario, voiced by Chris Pratt. The clip then ends with Luigi defending Mario by kicking Bowser Jr.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released in theaters on April 3, 2026. The Game Awards clip can be viewed below:
