Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, directed by Ryan Coogler, released some new photos featuring Riri Williams and Nakia, before the sequel is released. There is a lot of conversation surrounding Chadwick Boseman’s death and the huge impact it has made on its fans and the franchise. The movie will both honor T’Challa’s death and the late Chadwick Boseman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will follow life after T’Challa’s death and life after the king’s death. Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from worldly powers in the wake of the King’s death. One of the images shows Lupita Nyong’os at T’Challa’s funeral. Another image shows Ironheart in Wakanda’s royal chambers.

Despite fans asking to recast T’Challa after Boseman’s passing, Kevin Feige spoke about the decision not to recast in order to honor the legacy and that it was too soon to think of those next steps.
Feige adds “And how could the legacy of Chadwick – and what he had done to help Wakanda and the Black Panther become these incredible, aspirational, iconic ideas – continue? That’s what it was all about.”
The movie will be released in theaters on November 11, 2022.
