Although Avengers: Doomsday has been populating countless headlines, fans haven’t gotten much information on the film aside from the big casting announcement made back in March. But a recent leak from behind the scenes photos has given fans their biggest look at the film yet. It is highly important to note that the item in particular is a leak, and has not been officially revealed to the world by Marvel in any capacity.
The casting announcement confirmed that many of the old stars from the Fox era of Marvel, specifically the X-Men outings, will be making their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Many of the staple characters, such as Ian McKellen’s Magneto and James Marsden’s Cyclops, among many others, are slated to return. They’ll be joining the other current MCU mainstays in the cast, leading many to speculate the film will take the angle of the Avengers fighting the X-Men.
While nothing is set in stone as far as the story goes, there’s also much left for fans to wonder about when it comes to how the characters will appear. With many of the featured heroes being Marvel Comics mainstays for years, there’s plenty of looks to choose from. But a new leak just gave fans their first good look at how many of the characters will look.
The leak itself comes from an article given to the crew of Doomsday, which was posted to Instagram by one of the film’s makeup artists, but deleted soon after. Screenrant, who also shared a link to the leaked image on X, noted that it depicts every main character confirmed for the film so far, from the Fantastic Four, Thor, and Gambit, all the way to Doctor Doom himself.
The article in question gives a good headshot of each character, showing off a lot of the costumes they’ll be donning in the film as well. Some of the costumes are ones that have never been attempted in live action, while others harken back to older MCU appearances.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18th, 2026.
