Traditionally, The Three Musketeers follows the story of an aspiring king’s guard, d’Artagnan, in the 17th century. The unlikely collection of heroes are the only ones who can save France from a treacherous plot that will doom the nation. Query has not revealed any details on how the writer plans to modernize the classic story.
Netflix’s latest purchase is indicative of the studio’s aggressive strategy to acquire unique content. The streaming juggernaut has made a prodigious push to capture exclusive content.
