Netflix Lands Deal With Jason Statham And Guy Ritchie To Make “Dogfight”

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are reuniting for Dogfight, a Netflix action-revenge thriller, the company announced on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Though the plot of Dogfight is undisclosed, the press release indicates that Statham and Ritchie will “return to the criminal underground of London.”

Ritchie wrote the screenplay and will be directing. Black Bear, which is behind Ritchie’s recent titles such as In the Grey (2026) and Wife & Dog (2027), Ritchie’s Toff Guy Films, and Statham’s Punch Palace will produce. Producers include Ritchie, Statham, Ivan Atkinson from Toff Guy Films, and John Friedberg of Black Bear. Production is set to begin in the UK in early 2027.

Statham will be the lead actor, and it is his seventh collaboration with Ritchie. Their first work together, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), a classic British crime comedy, began their history as a creative duo that continued in Snatch (2000), before Revolver (2005), Wrath of Man (2021), Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023), and Viva La Madness, which is currently in the editing room. Release is set for 2028 as listed on IMDb.

Ritchie has worked with Netflix, adapting his film The Gentlemen (2019) into a series that was renewed for third season in August, with episodic credits for directing and/or writing. And Dogfight will not be the Statham-Ritchie duo’s first appearance on Netflix: Wrath of Man (2021) recorded 8.3 million views in the two weeks it spent in the global top 10, after arriving on the streamer in Dec. 2025, according to What’s on Netflix.
