A new red band trailer has been released for Neighbors, Nicholas Stoller’s latest comedy. The film features an unlikely combination of the confident Zac Efron and the “parents next door,” Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. This trailer showcases Stoller’s (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) outrageous comedy, about newly married parents battling a wild fraternity house.
Having recently starred in the comedy, That Awkward Moment, Efron is now ready for his role as a psychotic frat boy in Neighbors. As Rogen (This is the End, Pineapple Express, and Knocked Up) approaches comedic legend status, he plays a new parent alongside Australian actress Byrne (The Internship, Insidious, Get Him to the Greek).
There are actually a pair of red band trailers showcasing the film. The international red band trailer (below) for what in some foreign territories has been titled Bad Neighbors is out aside its adjective-less U.S. brother. Clips from both showcase scenes of Efron wreaking havoc on the cute new family. He exclaims, “Welcome to the darkness bitches,” and it seems his attempts to bring chaos into his neighbor’s lives have no boundaries. Although not for the faint of heart, we were high on the movie when it debuted at SXSW. Audiences at large will get to judge for themselves when it hits theaters May 9th. Dave Franco (21 Jump Street), Jake Johnson (New Girl), Lisa Kudrow (Friends), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), in addition to the previously mentioned stars.
