MTV Movie Awards Offer First Look at ‘Kong: Skull Island’

Amid the excitement of sparkling new glimpses from the likes of Captain America: Civil WarSuicide Squad and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the MTV Movie Awards scored coup with a first look at one of the major properties heading to theaters in 2017. That would be Kong: Skull Island. The eagerly anticipated films offers a new perspective of one of the screen’s most legendary stars: King Kong.

The behind-the-scenes tour included brief looks of what to expect from the movie, directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) which was penned by Max Borenstein (Godzilla), Derek Connolly (Jurassic World), John Gatins (Flight) and Dan Gilroy (Nightcrawler). The impressive ensemble cast includes Tom Hiddleston (Crimson Peak), Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell (both breakouts of Straight Outta Compton), Samuel L. Jackson (Kingsman: The Secret Service), John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane), Toby Kebbell (Ben-Hur), Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), John C. Reilly (The Lobster) and recent Oscar winner Brie Larson (who was shooting the film whilst on the awards tour for last year’s breakout indie Room).

Explore the adventure of Kong: Skull Island and prepare for a new look at one of cinema’s most treasured creatures. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 10th.
