MODOK Announced As ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Villain

As the first film of Phase 5 of the MCU, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania was the subject of a lot of discussion this past weekend at San Diego Comic Con. After director Peyton Reed and the cast of the film presented a trailer, which featured Kang the Conqueror (played by Jonathan Majors) as the main villain of the film, it was confirmed that MODOK will indeed be appearing in Quantumania.

Fans were thrilled by this news. Rumors about MODOK arriving in the MCU have been lingering for a while now but now it’s official that the well known villain will be lending a hand in causing trouble for Scott Lang.

MODOK, whose name stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, has been appearing in Marvel Comics since 1967 in Tales of Suspense. The antagonist is yet another famed comic book character created by icons Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

A casting for MODOK has yet to be announced. Since the Quantumania panel, fans have been theorizing that the recently on board Bill Murray will be playing the villain, as Murray’s own character has not been revealed yet either.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be appearing in theaters starting February 17, 2023.
