Mission: Impossible is going on its eighth installment and Tom Cruise has since been a part of everyone. Each film Cruise takes stunts to the next level and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning will be no exception. Some stunts in the film were on display for the CinemaCon audience to see. 

Variety noted that the clip shown for CinemaCon was of Cruise flying through the air, clung to a biplane that’s flying upside down. He also leaps from a ship into the ocean and gets an aircraft from the U.S. Navy. Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt is fearless and pushes the boundaries of physical safety. 

Cruise joined the CinemaCon crowd and praised the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie, who has collaborated on other films with Cruise. He also spoke highly about the filmmaker for his ability to continue work during the pandemic in a safe way. The Wrap also noted that Cruise took time to honor his Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick co-star Val Kilmer, who had recently passed, and asked for a moment of silence.

Joining Cruise in the film will be Vanessa Kirby, Tramell Tillman, Hannah Waddingham, Hayley Atwell, Janet McTeer, Katy O’Brian, Angela Bassett, Simon Pegg, Nick Offerman and others (IMDb). The Paramount Pictures film will release in theaters on May 23, 2025.
